The successful candidate will run weekly support groups to assist employees deal with the competing demands and challenges of work and parenting. Separate support groups will focus on the specific developmental, psychological and social needs of children at different ages (possibly separate groups for the parents of newborns, toddlers, pre-school, early elementary and late elementary ages). The successful candidate also will provide short-term individual counseling services and perform other duties related to delivery of counseling services. Position Details: The position is approximately 20 hours per week for one calendar year (total of 1,040 hours). This is a temporary, non-renewable position and does not include any benefits. Total salary compensation for the year would be approximately $23,000 to $40,000, dependent on successful candidate's experience and qualifications. The successful candidate would be working as part of a team of mental health professionals in the office of Counseling Services, an in-house counseling center that provides Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and other services to employees as part of GAO's Human Capital Office (HCO).
