AERA Online Resources for Researchers - Provides access to various resources from the American Educational Research Association, including abstracts from several educational research journals, publications, and papers.

American Psychological Association (APA) - Division 16: School Psychology - "The ultimate goal of all Division activity is the enhancement of the status of children, youth, and adults as learners and productive citizens in schools, families, and communities." The site features suggested journals, conference dates, and more.

Attention Deficit Disorder Center - Part of the NYU Department of Psychiatry home page, provides information about ADD diagnosis, symptomatology, etc. Also includes the Online Attention Deficit Disorder Screening Test (OAD)

Attention Deficit Disorder Link Project - Tons of links to resources on ADD and ADHD all over the world.

Bedwetting Alarms - Bedwetting alarms and training for all ages. Bed wetting alarms and treatment programs - from FREE self-help guides to full spectrum one-on-one programs.

Child & Family News - created by Tufts University, the site is geared towards journalists writing about topics pertinent to child development. It has a large selection of stats and topics, including story starters and other useful info and links for those writing about current issues in the behavioral sciences.

Drynights.com - site dedicated to the dissemination of information about and treatment of enuresis. Info for professionals in psychiatric, psychological, and medical professions, parents, and kids, including on and off-line resources.

"Early Warning, Timely Response" - guide published by the US Dept. of Justice, dealing with violence in schools & crime prevention.

Federal Resource Center for Special Education - Site is loaded with information about education-related topics, especially pertinent to School and Educational Psychologists, but also of use to others. Info on PL105-17, and their "Education Web Resources" gives links to sites, organizations, and definitions of many childhood disorders.

Fedstats - Provides access to federal statistics generated by over 70 U.S. government agencies for public use. If you want a national statistic on anything, this is the place to look. A very valuable resource site for professionals and a good site to recommend to your students if you teach any courses involving statistics.

Keys To Safer Schools.com - This site is dedicated to the "detection and prevention of school violence." It offers various suggested books, training programs, and services available for purchase, as well as free resources available for download.

Learning Disabilities Association (LDA) - "LDA is dedicated to identifying causes and promoting prevention of learning disabilities and to enhancing the quality of life for all individuals with learning disabilities and their families by encouraging effective identification and intervention, fostering research, and protecting their rights under the law." The site features job listings, relevant resources, a bookstore, and current news.

LD Online - resources for anyone dealing with LD children. Includes info about recent developments, how to get help, organizations, etc. Also an excellent resource to recommend to parents of LD children.

National Center for Education Statistics - Reports and other statistical publications, readable online, in many education-related areas. Includes the latest stats on school violence, reports to congress on the state of education in the U.S., trends in various school subjects, etc.

National Center for Health Statistics - easy access to recent stats on a large variety of behavioral health topics.

National School Safety Center - provides resources for parents & educators regarding school violence and safety issues.

Office of Special Education & Rehabilitative Services - US Dept. of Education site, includes a guide to safe schools, IDEA '97 Ammendments, etc.

Prevention Researcher - online articles from this journal. Interesting and current topics.

Reinforcement Unlimited - a consultant services site, with many free links and references for a variety of disorders, including autism, behavioral & learning disorders, educational problems, etc.

School-Psychologist.com - a site for for prospective school psychologists, parents, and educators. Professional speakers on topics related to classroom management, school-wide discipline, and parenting.

School Psychology Resources Online - Site provides access to various specific topic areas in psychology, including specific conditions, disabilities, and disorders.

School Psychology Online - a large directory of information for school psychologists, school counselors, teachers, parents, and other professionals!

School Violence Resource - a program is available for APA member psychologists to bring to groups of teens, that includes a video & related materials for an anti-violence program. Info is also available on starting such a program. Contact the APA Campaign Bureau at (877)274-8787, x135 to get a copy of the tape & materials.

Selective Mutism - Website by the author of a book on the topic, contains info about the topic, book, and related links.

Virginia Youth Violence Project - The site's "mission is to identify effective methods and policies for youth violence prevention, especially in school settings." The site features links to other related websites, advice to parents, information on prevention, and more.

Wetbuster.com - a resource about bedwetting/enuresis for professionals, parents, and children. This site is dedicated to helping kids and parents deal with bedwetting. The site offers various different sections directed at specified age groups, among other things.

WWW School Psychology Homepage - Dedicated specifically to school psychology, provides links to information about assessments, media resources, state organizations, etc.


Research Grant Opportunities:

The International Dyslexia Association offers grants for those studying dyslexia. Visit their website, under Research Information for more info. The site offers a bookstore, conference dates, and more.
